COVID-19

Update - Friday 23rd July 2021

We can annouce that we are now open on Monday & Friday evenings for meetings in the shack.

Whilst the restrictions are lifted, we recomend that you still register in, bring a mask to use as required and use the handwash and wipes.

  • If anyone has symptoms please do not put others at risk by attending until you have received a negative test result.
  • If things become too crowded the commitee may ask that members take turns in the shack, possibly using the outside area an Nunsfield as an overflow.

We are still using a Link in Link via Zoom on Friday evenings for people that are unable to attend.

As always an email invite will be sent out via our Secretary or Membership Secretary prior to the Friday meeting..

Update – Saturday 21st March 2020

As you will all know the Covid-19 virus is spreading, and there is various advice around regarding isolation, group gatherings etc.
With regards to the Radio Club we are keeping the situation and advice under review.

The latest advice, given today, is that we should all avoid social contact unless necessary, and should avoid gatherings and crowded places, such as pubs, clubs and theatres.
Given this advice, we have no option but to cancel formal meetings for the club with immediate effect. This will likely continue for some time, with the government stating around 12 weeks.
However, as the situation develops, we will review this position and act accordingly.

There is still, of course, the Thursday night net, and we could consider additional net nights if it helps people keep in contact during this time. Keep an eye out on the calendar of events for further information.

Due to the goverments advise to close of all clubs, pubs, theatres, resturants etc... Nunsfield house is now closed untill further notice.

As you should be aware the government has, and continually updates, advice and we advise that you keep up to date with this advice, available here;-
