Mills on the Air 2025

Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th May 2025

This years event opened to a wonderful bright and sunny day.

Heage Windmill looking splendid in her finery as she was still all dressed up for her VE Day celebrations!

Set up on Saturday was fairly swift with only minor injuries caused by the Blackthorn Bushes… Tweezers were needed!

The team were operating on 2m and 40m voice and 40m FT8 over the course of the weekend.

There was also a little 2m SSB action on the Sunday! The NHARG team had a number of visitors including several Radio Hams and a SWL!

The team made 125 total contacts overall, with 11 of those being other Mills.

They got the contact award! Overall the weekend was a wonderful success and it was really lovely that the weather stayed glorious, as in previous years, it has not always played ball!.
